President’s Corner

Dear Members,

As we race through May and gear up for June, get ready for the unforgettable 2026 ARRL Summer Field Day on June 27-28! A huge shout-out to the Burleson Church of Christ for graciously opening their doors to host our event. We’ll kick off setup at 9:00 AM and wrap up by 3:00 PM on the 28th. Our Tech Day festivities will commence at 11:00 AM!

Tech Day is your chance to show off the amazing gear and tech you’ve crafted or utilized in Amateur Radio! It’s a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, have fun, and connect. We’ll unveil the full agenda at our meeting on June 13th, so stay tuned!

Upcoming Events:

May 30, 2026 – One Day Cram and Test
Join KB5YBI (Ken) for a one-day cram session followed by technician tests! You can also take the General and Extra license tests during this time. Contact Ken if interested in coming. This is open to the public as well. Tell your friends and family! For General or Extra license test details, contact Ken at KB5YBI.Radio@gmail.com.

June 6, 2026 – “Now That You Have Your Technician License, What’s Next?” Seminar
Join several JCARC members as they guide newbies through the next steps in the hobby. With short seminars on getting started, choosing the right equipment, and getting involved, it’s the perfect way to build your toolkit and meet fellow hobbyists of all experience levels.
