I Have my license, now what?
September 19, 2026 (8am to noon) JohnSon county EOC

Location: 810 E. Kilpatrick, Cleburne.

This open forum allows you to ask questions to other Amateur Radio Operators about the hobby and how to start being active in communications. This course is designed to provide you direction or opportunities from types of equipment or areas of the hobby you are interested in knowing.

The hobby has so many avenues and different options to get started and having someone sit down with you and discuss your desires in the hobby can help you with the best direction for you. We will have some equipment there to look and even operate and have several HAMs with different uses of the hobby to help you on your journey. If you would like to attend, just email K5YIV@W5JCR.com and we will send a reminder a week before the event.

A simple Yagi antenna is very helpful in this event. BUT is not nessesary.

Youtube search   “FOX HUNT HAM RADIO”  they will give you ideas on ways to locate the FOX.  Tell your friends, this is for everyone, not just club members. Since this is just “listening “ and not transmitting to find the FOX, ANYONE can do it, no license required!!           ED  KJ5JQD
